Naval Operations Base - Building LF-60

Naval Station, Norfolk VA
Scope of Work: This design build project consists of the removal and replacement of six hangar doors at the Helicopter Maintenance Hangar Building LF-60 located at Naval Station, Norfolk, VA. Each of the six doors that are to be replaced measure 31’9”W x 29’1”H x 8” thick. All electrical motors, motor assemblies, boxes, wire and conduit are to be replaced back to the source panel. Existing rails and exterior door pockets are to be cleaned using a dry-ice blasting system to remove loose and flaking lead paint. All structural steel is to be inspected and necessary structural repairs are to be designed and installed. Existing structural support steel (not including the bottom rails) and new doors are to be painted for a marine environment level of corrosion protection. All work is to be completed while the hangar is fully occupied and in use by the building tenants.
